Bowl Game and A.C. Green Featured in Examiner.Com

Los Angeles Lakers legend A.C. Green will flip the coin to begin The Hoffpauir Auto Group C.H.A.M.P.S. Heart of Texas Bowl in Copperas Cove, Texas on Saturday, December 5, 2015. The announcement was made on Wednesday, December 3, 2015 by bowl officials via a prepared press release. Green, who played for the Lakers from 1985-1993 and 1999-2000, is the founder, along with Dr. Tony Serna, of Wellness49.com and recently opened a facility in the Killeen area, which is adjacent to Copperas Cove.
The Heart of Texas Bowl, which will be held at Bulldawg Stadium, will feature games between two junior college programs and two NCAA Division II schools. The first game, which will kick off at 11 a.m. CST, will feature the No. 20 Kilgore College Rangers (7-4) and the No. 15 East Central Community College Warriors (7-3). The second game will be Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds (6-5) against Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys (8-3) with a 6 p.m. CST kickoff.
Green, in addition to playing for the Lakers, also played for the Phoeniz Suns (1993-1996), Dallas Mavericks (1996-1999) and the Miami Heat (2000-2001). He is known as the “Iron Man” of the NBA, playing in 1,192 consecutive games and only missing three games in his entire career of 1,281 games. He was quoted in the press release about himslf and his company being a part of the bowl game.

Green, who was also a four-year player at Oregon State University, will be available for autographs at the bowl game.
